This is all the more reason why we need to unplug, take a break from it all and yes, that includes social media. We would like to encourage you to be aware of just how much you check your phone. How often are you “killing time” by scrolling through post after post? Can you put your device aside while you have meals, quality time with friends or loved ones, or for an hour before bed? It’s really up to you when you unplug, but look for the patterns that have become an addiction.
Today, pick an hour and see if you can unplug from it all. Maybe at family dinner or before bed, set your phone aside. No social media, no email, no unnecessary texting. Make it a digital detox and recharge your batteries by doing something your heart desires. Read a book, take a walk or talk with (not text) someone. We live in paradise and beauty is everywhere, be creative and just breathe.
